At half time, the score was 1-0 in favour of Cuncolim Union.

Cuncolim Union dominated the proceedings and in the very 4th minute came close to scoring but Daulat Dessai’s floater was punched out by Varca goalkeeper. Frenzer Fernandes assisted. Cuncolim Union took the lead in the 15th minute through Tedlon Gomes.

Thereafter, Varca in the 29th minute tried to equalise but Zico Martins’ effort was blocked by Cuncolim Union defence. Nash Pereira supplied the ball. 

Varca toiled hard in search of an equaliser but Cuncolim Union defence played a key role to keep their goal area safe till the end of the first half.  Crossing over, Cuncolim Union in the 40th minute doubled the lead when Saurab Faterpekar provided pass to Cezar Fernandes, who made no mistake to net the ball in.

With two-goal cushion, Cuncolim Union strikers started attacking the rival citadel. Varca would have neutralized but the poor finishing touches by strikers were at the focal point. Cuncolim Union added another goal to their scorecard in the 61st minute through Daulat Dessai’s rasping shot which caught the rival goalkeeper napping.
