Curtorim Gymkhana lift Curtorim Villagers Cup
CURTORIM: Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Don Bosco Fatorda 3-0 to lift the Curtorim Villagers Cup, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, recently.
The highlight of the final was a fine hat-trick by Curtorim striker Marcus Fernandes.
It was Fatorda which could have taken the lead but their striker Hanslum’s shot was well saved by the Curtorim keeper Jhonson Bhagot in the 12th minute. Curtorim scored the first goal in the 27th minute through Marcus Fernandes.
In the second half, Marcus Fernandes added two more goals in 41st and 55th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
Fr Joseph Rowald Salema gave away the prizes in the presence of Alexo Reginald Lourenco, MLA of Curtorim constituency, Teodolinda Sarojini dos Milagres Sardinha, Director of Prosecution and other dignitaries.
