DBO Fatorda prevail over SC Davorlim
CUNCOLIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda downed Sporting Club Davorlim 2-0 to march in the semi-finals of the Rising Cup inter-village football tournament organised by Rising Club of Savorcotto, at Cuncolim School ground, Cuncolim on Friday.
Samson Miranda gave DBO the lead in the 30th minute after capitalising on a cross taken by Edgar Noronha from the right flank.
Francis Andrade doubled the lead in the 55th minute off a pass received from Edgar Noronha. Sporting Club Davorlim made many in-roads in the DBO territory but missed chances through Paxtan Gomes, Mark Borges and Agnelo Colaco. Francis Andrade of DBO was adjudged man-of-the- match. DBO will now meet Wilred Leisure SC in semi-finals on September 9.
