OLD GOA: Dempo Sports Club scored a convincing 4-1 win over Guardian Angel Sports Club in the Goa Football Association Goa Professional League match played at Ella ground, here, on Wednesday.

Jaison Vaz scored a treble for the winners while Joaquim Abranches was the other goal scorer.  Sunny Fernandes managed to get his name on the scoresheet for Guardian Angel SC.

By virtue of this win, Dempo SC moved to 32 points from 14 games while Guardian Angel SC remain on seventh position with 19 points from 16 games.

Former FC Goa striker Joaquim Abranches  who has been experiencing good form as the managed to add his name on the score sheet.

Playing at their fortress, Dempo SC broke the deadlock in the 18th minute when Kritikesh played in cross from the left flank which was brilliantly guided home by Joaquim Abranches.

Despite some good moves from either sides, the first half score line remained 1-0 in favour of Dempo SC.

In the 50th minute, some individual brilliance from Jaison Vaz saw Dempo SC inflate their lead to 2-0. 

Once up by two goals, Dempo SC played a composed game which saw them outplay their opponents with the play on their flanks. At the hour mark, Jaison scored his second before completing his treble in the 82nd minute when he made a simple tap in from Suraj’s cross.

The Golden Eagles were unfortunate to concede a late goal in the 84th minute when Sunny Fernandes shot was guided in by a desperate clearance attempt made by Jessel.
