PANJIM: Dempo Sports Club scored a convincing 3-1 win over Sporting Clube de Goa in the GFA U-14 league, at Don Bosco Oratory ground, on Sunday. 

Rohit displyed a brilliant brand of football for the golden eagles and deservingly opened the scoring in the 21st minute after he calmly placed the ball home.

Post resumption, hardworking Shreyash and Dwayne also found their names on the scoresheet for the Dempo outfit.

Fraizer Fernandes managed to score a consolation goal for the young Flaming Oranje.

In another match, Cortalim Gymkhana humiliated CAC Cansaulim 9-0, at Velsao ground. 

Milroy Fernandes opened the floodgates and went on to score a brace later in the game while Rohan Payeng netted four goals, before Melrick Xavier scored twice and Lesly Xavier adding his name to the score sheet in the 65th minute for the Cortalim side.

Elsewhere at Anjuna Gynkhana ground, Anjuna Gymkhana scored a fluent 5-0 win over Penha de France.

Aryan Paul scored the opening goal for the Anjuna side in the 10th minute. The scores were 1-0 at half-time.

After the breather, Sagun Shirodkar scored four times for Anjuna to take the tally to 5-0.

In another match, Arpora Sporting Club eased past St. Anthony’s SC Marna 2-0, at Siolim ground. Kunal and Diwadkar scored a goal each for the winners to grab full points.
