Drishi Boys emerge victorious
CHORAO: Drishi Boys, Mayem won the all-Mayem Constituecy Volleyball tournament, organised by Vishnu Koroge Boys of Saude-Chorao , at Vishnu ground, Chorao, recently.
In the final round Drishi Boys of Mayem defeated Bhumika Boys of Karabhat-Chorao by 15-1, 15-7, 13 in straight sets.
The winners were awarded Rs. 5,000 while the runners-up were given Rs. 3,000 along with trophies.
Chorao ex-Sarpanch and present sitting member Prasad was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of former Sarpanch Shrikrishna Haldandkar, Panch Lowence Savio Colaco, Prof. Santosh Gaonkar and Deeepkumar Mapari. In all 20 teams participated in the tournament.
