BENAULIM: Fateh Hyderabad AFC defeated FC Goa (Reserves) 4-1 in the 2nd Division AIFF League match, played at Holy Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Saturday.

FC Goa had the first chance of the match in the 10th minute with Liston Colaco’s free kick which Hyderabad defender Mobin Rai tried to clear off but his clearance fell to FC Goa striker Mohammed Yasir who shot from close range but it over the cross bar. 

At the other end, Hyderabad defender Ponif Vaz sent in a long ball to striker Lalrinfela but the latter failed to connect inside the FC Goa box in the 20th minute.

Two minutes later, FC Goa midfielder Krishna Pandit sent a ball to Liston Colaco who was  inside the Hyderabad box but keeper Gurpreet Singh keeper was equal to the task.

Hyderabad yielded the first fruit off the rebound ball from the bar of Goa collected by A,Sushil Meitei who netted the first goal for Hyderabad with a snap shot in the 28th minute. Godwin Quashiga from Ghana doubled the lead for Hyderabad with a power-packed shot after collecting the ball from Lalrinfela.

 Minutes later, FC Goa’s Hayden had a chance but shot wide. Crossing over, Fateh Hyderabad inflated the tally in the 55th minute when Imran Khan sent a floater to Hitova Ayemi who headed the ball into the net. FC Goa scored the consolation goal through the controversial penalty when Lalawmpuia was brought down by the rival defender and Lalawmpuia took the spot kick to send the rival goalkeeper in wrong way in the 57th minute for FC Goa Reserves. 

Edmond Perprah added his name in the score list for visitors in injury time.
