MAPUSA: Fatorda Veterans managed to edge past Viva North Veterans 2-1 to advance in the veterans tournament organised by Moira Veterans played at Moira Club ground, on Monday. 

The first session which was equally contested which saw the play mostly being restricted to midfield play.

However, on crossing ends, Fatorda colts hammered in two goals from the boots of Francis Andrade.

Viva North Veterans did try to get back into the match from Claudio Pacheco’s goal. 

But the last line of Fatorda held to their one goal lead till the final hooter to enter the next round.
