MAPA PANCHWADI: Fatorda Veterans won the St. Anthony Veterans Panchwadi cup defeating Assolda Veterans 6-5 via the-breaker in the final of the St Anthony's Veterans Panchwadi cup tournament organised by St Anthony boys Panchwadi at Mapa Panchwadi green field ground on Sunday.
Sailesh gave Fatorda Veterans the lead in the 14th minute and Charles buttressed the Fatorda who led 2-0 at the break.
Crossing over, Assolda Veterans came back strongly and equalised trough Jerry and Pascoal.
In the ensuing shoot-out Camilo, Domingo, Charles and Sailesh scored for Fatorda Veterans while Jerry, Pascoal and Krishna netted for Assolda.
Parish priest of St Anthony Church Panchwadi Fr Avito Almeida, Fr Jonas D’Souza assistant parish priest and Sanket gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
