CHANDOR: Fr Agnelo Youth SC, Paroda prevailed over United Club Benaulim 9-8 via tie-breaker to advance to the quarter-finals of the 14th All Goa Guirdolim Panchayat Cup played at Chandor Church ground, on Thursday. 

In a match which lived up to its billing, both teams started on an attacking mode right from the word go but it was Joel Fernandes of UC Benaulim who beat the off-side trap of Paroda defenders in the 11th minute to score the first goal. 

UC Benaulim went into the break with a one-goal lead. 

Post resumption it was Paroda who kept on constantly raiding the Benaulim defence but their strikers were wasteful as they kept missing easy chances. Paroda's luck changed in the 45th minute when Jaison Dias timed his run to perfection defeating the Benaulim off-side trap to score the equalizer. 

Paroda wasted many an opportunities to seal the match in their favour and the match ended with a 1-1 scoreline. 

In the resulting tie-breaker Manesh Oliveira, Kanchan Kiro, Raston Costa, Sezvin Fernandes, Marcos D'Costa, Stuanton D'Costa, Melvino Lima and Jaison Dias were on target for Paroda while Joel Fernandes, Osbourne Fernandes, Joaquim Fernandes, Faizal Bepari, Mefran Rodrigues, Sydroy Baptista and Rudy Fernandes Scored from the spot. Josbern Fernades's spot kick for UC Benaulim was saved by Lester Menezes, the Paroda keeper.
