SANQUELIM: A four-star performance from Vedant Naik helped Goan FC thrash Eagles Sports Club 11-0 in the  Goa Football Association  U-14 League match played at Sanquelim ground, on Friday.

The junior Gaurs started the match on a commanding note as they played quality football that pleased the eye of the handful spectators gathered to watch the match. 

Goan FC didn’t take long before they took the lead in the 10th minute when Vedant set Rohan M on goal and the latter made no mistake in guiding the ball past the helpless rival keeper.

Once the deadlock was broken, Goan FC soon doubled the lead in the fourteenth minute through Merven Fernandes in the 14th minute.

Minutes later, Rohan completed his brace with a deft placement and Vedant Naik scored the team’s fourth just before the breather.

Crossing ends, Goan FC continued from where they had left from as Bryson scored the fifth.

Later, Prachit Gaunkar scored a brace before Vedant scored a quick late hat-trick. 

Clison also got on to the scoresheet for the winners.
