RAIA: Guardian Angel SC of Curchorem defeated Canacona SCC, 4-3, via the tie-breaker to enter into the final of the Coutinho Family Cup inter-village football tournament, played at Cuncolim School playground, on Wednesday. Ronaldo Oliveira opened the scoring for Canacona SC in the 7th minute while Mithun Fernandes equalised for Guardian Angel SC in the 16th minute.
In the ensuing tie-breaker – Airen Fernandes, Ivo Costa and Prince Costa scored for Guardian Angel SC while only Mehboob Hublikar and Alvito Miranda shoot at the target for Canacona SCC. Airen Fernandes of Guardian Angel SC was adjudged as man-of-the-match.
