Mahila Nutan HS in final
PANJIM: Powered by the half centuries of Raviraj Naik and Ayush Verlekar, Mahila Nutan High School of Margao defeated AJD Almeida HS of Ponda by 40 runs to enter in the final of the 17th Mukund Trikannad memorial inter-school U-16 cricket tournament organised by Margao Cricket Club (MCC), at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, on Saturday.
PANJIM: Powered by the half centuries of Raviraj Naik and Ayush Verlekar, Mahila Nutan High School of Margao defeated AJD Almeida HS of Ponda by 40 runs to enter in the final of the 17th Mukund Trikannad memorial inter-school U-16 cricket tournament organised by Margao Cricket Club (MCC), at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, on Saturday.
Mahila Nutan High School elected to bat first and scored 141 for 5 runs in allotted 20 overs. In reply, AJD Almeida HS were succumbed to 101 runs in 17 overs with only Salil Korde scoring gallant 52 runs.
Saish Satardekar and Hrishikesh Desai took three scalps each for Mahila Nutan HS. Bhatikar Model HS will meet Anjuman Himaytul Islam High School in the other semis slated on 20th February.
