PANJIM: Mushfiund High School defeated Dr KB Hedgewar High School by 78 runs in the late Dilip Sardesai Cup recently.

Electing to bat, Mushtifund scored 217/9 in 40 overs. Ajinkya Chari and Omkar Parab opened the batting and managed to put up a 46 runs partnership before Anjikya got run out.  Aryan Mashelkar scored 52 runs off 75 balls while Kaustubh Pingulkar scored 32 runs off 60 balls. 

The Hedgewar bowlers put up a formidable perfromance as they managed to pick up wickets at regular intervals.

Sachin Pandey picked up 3 wickets while Rohan Vadyekar and Sakharam Thakur scalped a wicket each. 

Hedgewar HS were bundled out for 135 runs. Sachin Pandey scored 38 runs off 59 balls after he was sent back to the pavilion by Kaustubh. Yash Mazumdar managed to score 26 runs off 36 balls after he was run out by Kirshna. 

The Mushtifund bowlers put up a decent performance as they managed to pick wickets at regular intervals which did not allow the opposition batsmen to settle in well.
