CUNCOLIM: Navelim Sporting Club blanked Varca Sports Club by comfortable 3-0 to enter in to the quarter-finals of the Cuncolim Union trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Sunday.

CUNCOLIM: Navelim Sporting Club blanked Varca Sports Club by comfortable 3-0 to enter in to the quarter-finals of the Cuncolim Union trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim ground, on Sunday.
Navelim Sporting Club drew the first blood through Presley Gomes in the very 3rd minute of the match.
Clinton Niasso doubled the lead in the 20th minute and went on to complete his brace in the 48th minute to make it 3-0 for Navelim Sporting.
Clinton Niasso should have scored his hat-trick for Navelim in the 49th minute but the Varca SC goalkeeper made a brilliant save to deny the former his goal.
