Navelim SC win
CHANDOR: Navelim Sporting Club beat Socio Cultural Club, Loutolim 10-9 (3-3) via the tie-breaker to enter the final of the 45th Chandor Seamen’s Trophy football tournament organised by Chandor Club, at Chandor ground, on Sunday.
Navelim drew first blood in the 23rd minute through Clinton Niasso.
Loutolim equalised in the next minute through Shawn Noronha.
In the second half, Loutolim took the lead in the 42nd minute through Sandip Konde. Loutolim scored two more goals through Clinton Niasso in the 56th and 68th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
Loutolim equalised in the 69th minute through a brilliant free-kick taken by Shawn Noronha in the 69th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Presley, Joseph, Darren, Avalon, Jaison, Clinton and Ronaldo scored for Navelim SC while Flager, Steve, Shawn, Valson, Mark and Prisco were on target for SCC Loutolim.
Navelim SC now await the winners of Fr Agnelo’s SC and Curtorim Gym whom they will face in the final on September 15.
