Nerul Boys win Ashley Louis and Suhas Parsekar memorial tie-breaker
PANJIM: Nerul Boys defeated Saiking Candolim 3-2 in the final of 7th All-Goa Ashley Louis and Suhas Parsekar memorial 3-a-side football tie-breaker tournament organised by Gaura Vaddo United and supported by Models Constructions, at Gauravaddo-Calangute, recently.
PANJIM: Nerul Boys defeated Saiking Candolim 3-2 in the final of 7th All-Goa Ashley Louis and Suhas Parsekar memorial 3-a-side football tie-breaker tournament organised by Gaura Vaddo United and supported by Models Constructions, at Gauravaddo-Calangute, recently.
60 teams participated in the tournament, chief guest coach India U-16 football team Felix D'souza, guest of honour Joseph Sequeira, invitee Gaby Fernandes gave away the prizes. The winners and runners-up were awarded cash prize of Rs 20,000 and Rs 12, 000 respectively.
The third place winners Calangute United and fouth place winners Candolim Boys were awarded cash prize of Rs 4,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively plus trophies.
Gaurish was adjudged as best shooter while Ritesh was adjudged as best goalkeeper. Also present for the tournament were family members of Late Ashley Louis and Suhas Parsekar. Kumar Naik welcomed the dignitaries while Gaby Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
