PY Nuvem edge past Ambelim SC
CUNCOLIM: Parish Youth Nuvem sweated it out before earning a 2-1 hard fought win over Ambelim Sports Club to book their place in the semi-finals Yarri cup (South Goa) inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at Cuncolim School play ground, on Tuesday.
Inacio Colaco gave Parish Youth Nuvem the lead with his snap shot after beating the goalkeeper Benny Silva off a pass from Bevan Colaco.
With three minutes left for the breather, Ambelim Sports Club equalised through Samson Simoes who headed in off a corner taken by Perryson Fernandes.
The all important goal for Parish Youth Nuvem was scored in the 53rd minute by Jerose Oliviera with a rasping 20-yard shot.
