Roque’s strike takes DBO Fatorda into semi-finals
CUNCOLIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated Navelim Sporting Club 1-0 and entered the semi- finals of All Goa 9th Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union at Government Village School Playground, Cuncolim on Thursday.

CUNCOLIM: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda defeated Navelim Sporting Club 1-0 and entered the semi- finals of All Goa 9th Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by Cuncolim Union at Government Village School Playground, Cuncolim on Thursday.
The lone goal of the match was scored in the 6th minute when striker Roque Borges pounced on the rebound off well executed free kick taken by Cliff Baretto.
Spurred by the early success, Don Bosco Oratory forwards intensified their attacks and wasted from handshaking distance.
Navelim Sporting Club had their chances and looked to cancel the score when striker Alvito Colaco unleashed a powerful shot crashed wide.
Moments later, Rovan Pereira surged from the right, clearing the defence as he had time to put it past rival goalkeeper.
With time running out, Navelim Sporting Club went all out in search of equaliser but rival stubborn defence protected the slender lead.
