MAPUSA: Saraswat Vidhyalaya High School defeated Shri Ram Vidya Mandir High School, Colvale, in the boys U-14 Cricket Bardez Taluka tournament organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Peddem sports complex, here, recently.
Saraswat Vidhyalaya High School after winning the toss elected to bat, where they scored 141 runs for loss of 4 wickets. Kushal 30, Siddesh 28, Ishant 21, Surendra 22 not out and Vedant 11 not out were at their best.
Shri Ram Vidya Mandir High School, Vidya Manthan took 2 wickets, Anuj and Ranjan 1 each. Batting second, Shri Ram Vidya Mandir High School scored 121 runs for all out in 19.4 overs. Anuj 33 and Parth 14 topped scored.
Saraswat Vidhyalaya High School won by 20 runs and have qualified to play at the District Level on April 18.
