Satyawati Soiru Angle HSS U-19 baseball champs
MASHEM: Satyawati Soiru Angle Higher Secondary School, Mashem won the State U-19 Boys Inter- Higher Secondary School Baseball Championship after defeating St Tereza HSS, Candolim, recently.
The tournament was organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Govt sports complex, Ponda.
In the final after winning the toss St Tereza HSS decided to field. In the first inning, SS Angle with the homer hit of Shravan Naik team scored seven homes while St Tereza HSS managed to score only two homes, SS Angle HSS pitcher Pratik Satarkar made them strike out.
In the second innings again with the two base hit of Madhev Mhalshekar, Sairaj Dhuri, Poornay Sudhir and Pranay Gosavi the team scored 7 homes. Pitcher Pratik Satarkar made all the three batter out on the home plate.
S.S. Angle HSS, Mashem won the final match with an inning and 14-02 score.
Earlier in the semi-final, SS Angle HSS defeated Swami Vivekananda HSS, Bori by 10-6 homes.
