However in the added time Cortalim Villagers received a jolt with the sending off their goalkeeper Francis Vincent for handling the ball outside the penalty box.

Cortalim Villagers coach Jude Barreto and skipper Clive Miranda were upset with referee Tejas Nagvenkar decision who had sent off the goalkeeper Francis Vincent at the advice from fourth match official Ritesh Parsekar, while his assistant line's men Yeshwant Gaonkar was silent.

On resumption of play, Sesa FA struck two quick goals in the 54th and 57th minute of play. A curling corner by Thokchom Singh was brilliantly connected by unmarked Shridharnath Gawas while three minutes later Thokchom Singh who was instrumental in the first goal dribbled past his marker and drilled a stiff grounder to the far corner of the goal, 2-0.

Cortalim Villagers came strongly to wipe out the two goals deficit, but brilliant goal keeping by skipper Roanal Gaunkar saw him collect Vikram Venkatchalam placement and minutes later pushed the ball for a corner off K Dhanushraj strike from close.

Sesa’s coach Charles Dias brought in Clencio Pinto and Joshua D’Silva whose two goal bound attempts were saved by Cortalim’s substitute Savio Pereira.

Sesa’s Thokchom Singh received the man-of-the-match award from Arvind Khutkar- Director of Sports & Youth Affairs.

In the next match, Sporting Clube de Goa had an easy outing as they drubbed Mumbai City FC by 4-0 margin.
