PANJIM: Goa’s Nagesh Verencar and Shantesh Mapsecar have been selected in the five member Indian Hopes team at the International Table Tennis Federation World Junior and Cadets Championship to be held at Noida, Uttar Pradesh from October 28 to November 1.
The other members of the team are Srivastava Divyansh, UP, Suresh Priyesh, TN, Aggarwal Arnav, TN.
Shantesh Mapsekar is at present ranked No 2 in the India in the under-12 years cadet category and Nagesh Verenkar is at present placed at No 3 position in the under-13 years of age. The Hopes category is U-13 years. In all players from 13 countries including Australia, India, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Maldiv, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and United States of America are participating in this prestigious prize money championship.
