St Rita get the better of Red Box
VILLA-MAREX-CHANDOR: St Rita, Maina edged past Red Box, Nuvem 2-1 and moved into the semi-finals of the 16th All Goa open Seamen football tournament organised by Villa Marex Boys of Chandor, at Villa Marex ground, Chandor, on Friday.
Niclau opened the score-line for Maina in the 40th minute.
Six minutes later, Jerose equalised for Nuvem. It was St Rita’s Assis who scored the match-winner in the 56th minute.
In another match on Thursday, Karan FC Goa beat Signal by a solitary goal to move into the semi-final.
Vijay netted the match-winner for Karan FC Goa in the 45th minute.
