MAPUSA: United Club Nerul defeated Adarsh Yuvak Sangh, Saligao 2-1 in the Milagres Cup played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Thursday.
In the 4th minute Anson D’Souza put his team ahead as he scored past the Adarsh keeper with a stiff grounder, 1-0.
It did not take long for Nerul to double their lead as in the 7th minute Sankit Jotkar scored from outside the penalty box.
Just four minutes before the breather and Adarsh colts managed to pull a goal through Nikhil Naik to get back his team into the match from close quarters.
On crossing over play was mostly restricted to midfield, with Nerul managing to hold on to their one goal lead till the final hooter.
