PANJIM: United Sports Club Mardol thrashed Merces Sports Club 7-2 in the Second Division League organised by Goa Football Association, played at Agassaim ground, on Monday. 

 Joel Barretto opened the tally for Mardol in the 14th minute. Swapnil Kandoikar added the team’s second goal in the 20th minute before Joel went on to complete his hat-trick with two fine goals in the 35th and 37th minute respectively.

Merces SC finally managed to pull one goal down courtesy to Prakash Chari in the 42nd minute.  But little could they do as Gauresh Kandeparkar added another for the Mardol team in the next minute.  On changing sides, Shubham Naik added two more goals for the winners while Gauresh added a second for the losing team.
