QUEPEM: Ugem Rising Sports club trounced CAC, Cansaulim by 4-0 to advance into the quarter-finals of the Fr Agnelo Youth inter-village football tournament, at Panchayat grounds, Quepem, on Sunday.

 Ugem Rising started the game in blistering fashion and took the lead in the 14th minute when Anil Gaonker flicked the ball into the nylons off a pass from Ashley D’Costa. Thereafter it was complete domination by Ugem Rising with Israel Gomes doubling the lead with a snap shot.

 In the second half, Anil Gaonker scored his second goal to take an unassailable lead of 3 goals. Ashley D’Costa added his name in the score list before the final whistle.

Melody Corriea played an impressive game for CAC Cansaulim but did not get enough support from his team mates to score.
