CHICALIM: Vasco Veterans defeated Viva North Veterans 4-2 in the inaugural match of the 2nd All-Goa veterans tournament, on Sunday.

CHICALIM: Vasco Veterans defeated Viva North Veterans 4-2 in the inaugural match of the 2nd All-Goa veterans tournament, on Sunday.
Vasco Veterans started the game well as Vishant Pednekar made it 1-0 for Vasco Veterans in the 3rd minute.
Viva North Veterans tried to get back from the early setback but Luis Cardozo headed a beautiful cross by Vishant Pednekar to make it 2-0 in the 8th minute.
Viva North Veterans didn’t let the score line affect them and Anthony Pontis made it 2-1 for Viva North Veterans.
The first session ended with Vasco Veterans leading by 2-1.
The second session started with Vasco Veterans hitting the post with a header from Cruz Pereira.
Derrick Pereira of Vasco Veterans made it 3-1 with a beautiful goal however Anthony Pontis made it 3-2 for Viva North Veterans within a few minutes.
Santan Furtado scored the fourth goal for Vasco Veterans to wrap up the game with the final score of 4-2.
