Vinod guides Shuttlers SC to win over Young Stars of Moula
PANJIM: Vinod Sutar showed some good performance in the batting and bowling departments to guide Shuttlers Sports Club to 34 runs win over Young Stars of Moula in the Goa Cricket Association ‘B’ Division Cricket League played at SAG ground, at Campal, here, on Thursday.
PANJIM: Vinod Sutar showed some good performance in the batting and bowling departments to guide Shuttlers Sports Club to 34 runs win over Young Stars of Moula in the Goa Cricket Association ‘B’ Division Cricket League played at SAG ground, at Campal, here, on Thursday.
Shuttlers Sports Club won the toss and elected to bat to score 191 runs by losing nine wickets in allotted 40 overs. Vinod Sutar top-scored with 40 runs, Snehal Ghate 27 n.o, Deepak Mistri 19, Mubarak Shaikh 18, Reiyaz Shaikh 15, Amog Haldankar 13 and Pratik Gawas 10. Sujay Naik 2/17 and Pritesh Naik 2/39 performed well while Gautam Nandrekar 1/13, Mahendra Naik 1/23, Saifali Karaggi 1/26 and Narendra Sale 1/29 also had their say.
In their chase, Young Stars of Moula could not manage to cope up and settled for 157 for all out in 35.5 overs. Rajesh Muduwal 30, Sujay Naik 25, Narendra Sale 23 n.o, Mahendra Naik 22 and Aditya Kavlekar 12 were the run getters.
Vinod Sutar’s 3/23 and Deepak Mistri’s 3/34 demolished the rivals. Reiyaz Shaikh 1/14 and Snehal Ghate 1/36 also showed some splendid bowling.
