Churchill to prove victory in Yemen was no fluke

PANJIM, APRIL 4 AFC Match Commissioner, May Tola (Cambodia) has given the green light for hosting the AFC Cup Group B match between Musli Power Churchill Bros and Yemen's Al Hilal on Tuesday, April 6 at Nehru stadium, Fatorda, Margao at 4 p.m.

AFC Match Commissioner, May Tola (Cambodia) has given the green light for hosting the AFC Cup Group B match between Musli Power Churchill Bros and Yemen’s Al Hilal on Tuesday, April 6 at Nehru stadium, Fatorda, Margao at 4 p.m.
Tola held several closed door meetings with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) officials of Churchill Bros to check that each and every aspect of the organisation has been taken care of.
Besides inspecting the playing arena, he examined the dressing rooms, medical and dope control rooms, conference hall, sound room, VVIP lounge, hotels for accomodating the visiting players and match officials, media enclosure and the accreditation process for media and photographers.
The security aspect, internal and external, emergency exits for ambulances, was also explained to the AFC official.
The teams will have their final practice session at Nehru stadium on Monday, with the visitors from Yemen, who are expected to arrive on Monday early morning scheduled for an evening practice. The home team will have their training on Monday morning.
Sports Correspondent adds from Margao: Gourmangi Singh  who played a pivotal role in Churchill Bros’ defence and is now set to put his best foot forward on Tuesday said that he was looking forward for the match and he hoped to win it.
“We have already beaten Al Hilal and it will a great feeling beating them again. Our team is fully geared and we can demonstrate our power once again,” he added.
“Al Hilal played well in Sana’a and this time, they would be seeking revenge,” Gourmangi summed up.
Al Hilal has three foreigners players in their ranks, but it could not be confirmed if they would be able to make the trip to India.
Anil Kamat, AIFF’s assistant secretary, who arrived in Goa to oversee the preparations stated that he had taken up the matter of visas to the foreigners of Al Hilal with the officials of the Indian Embassy in Yemen today and that he had been asked to contact again on Monday morning.
