MARGAO, APRIL 6
Relegation threatened  Sporting  Clube de Goa  coach Vishwas Gaonkar  fancy his chances  of pocketing  full points  when they clash  with JCT, Phagwara in a 20th round match of ONGC I-league  at Nehru stadium, Fatorda on Wednesday.
The Flaming Orange will try to avenge their 2-0 defeat against JCT in the first leg of their away match.
Sporting are at the bottom of the table with 14 points and a win is the only way to climb up the standings. On the other hand, JCT are placed ninth with 22 points, eight points above bottom placed Sporting.
“We have a chance to avoid relegation if we continue to play the same way as we played against Salgaocar. The strikers at last have found their scoring touch and if they continue to score goals when chances come we have a good chance to win more matches,” coach Gaonkar said
“The match against JCT is very important. It’s a must win situation for us.  If we drop points tomorrow, we will end making things difficult for us in the remaining six rounds of the League. We are confident of notching a win but JCT is not a team that can be taken lightly,” added Gaonkar
Gaonkar further stated: “I am sure JCT coach Parminder will motivate his team and ensure they come out hard against us. JCT is always a dangerous team.”
The visitors may still be smarting against a 6-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Musli power Churchill Brothers last week but JCT coach Parminder Singh is very optimistic on the outcome and said: “My boys will put the setback behind and will take on the Goan challenge with a positive frame of mind.”
“We are aware of Sporting’s capabilities and my boys have been under strenuous training sessions at Assolna ground.  We have worked on different strategies and are fully geared up to face our rivals.  Sporting has not been faring too well and are low in confidence, but we cannot afford to relax,” concluded Parminder.
In Mumbai, Mahindra United will take on Mumbai FC.
