PERNEM: Although there is a ban on ‘Dhiryo’, a bull fight, in the State, one can experience it for free in the Pernem market. Two bulls have been fighting amongst themselves almost everyday for a week right in the middle of the bazaar.

Their unofficial dhiryo has been posing danger to the motorists, especially the two-wheeler riders and pedestrians. The locals have questioned as to who is responsible to reign in the angered animals as even passing through the market has become dangersome. The shopkeepers too have expressed concern as their business gets affected.
