MARGAO: An Orlim resident was caught by people from Pajifond after girl students of New Era School complained he was ogling them. The accused was handed over to the police where he confessed to having committed the act.
Providing details, the police said, the accused, Raymond Pereira, an employee of an insurance company in the Margao office was arrested after school girls complained.
The act came to light after the girls complained to the school staff and people passing by. The people caught hold of the man and handed over to the police.
The school staffers were heard saying he had been troubling several girls from the school in incidents earlier also.
The accused has been arrested under Section 354 for outraging modesty and also under Section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.
