Commuters frustrated by haphazard traffic measures on Old Mandovi Bridge

PORVORIM: The daily commuters who travel by the Old Mandovi bridge have expressed annoyance over the adhoc way in which the Department of Transport and RTO operate. The Department had installed plastic cone as dividers to regulate the flow of traffic, but these temporary barriers were found in damaged condition merely days after their installation. After O Heraldo published the news regarding the same, the department removed the dividers.

“This shows how taxpayers’ money is being wasted with little to no consideration for the common public. Government departments are expected to spend from the government coffers responsibly and by planning properly. Lakhs of rupees must have gone down the drain due to this,” said one of the daily commuter.
