Despite the Lawyer of French Actress Marianne Chicherio, Adv Benny Nazareth alleging that his client was being tortured and harassed by hired goons of the original owner of the House, SP Crime Nidhin Valsan has said the police have not intervened because there is no case of violence.
He said both parties are claiming ownership of the property and police will wait for the court order. Valsan denied that there were any bouncers on the property, but these were security guards. He said the High Court had directed that the case be filed in the civil court.
Goa-based French actress Marianne Borgo (Marianne Chicherio) has lived in Calangute for 15 years, in a home which she was inducted after paying consideration to the now deceased owner, has suddenly found herself held hostage in the same house surrounded by whom she claims are goons sent by his widow and current “owner” of the property”, who have cut off her electricity and water, to force her to leave and hand over the property.
Contrary to the assertion of the Calangute Police that there are no goons or gangs, which have kept French actor Marianne Chicherio confined like a hostage in her own home, the actor has sent a desperate letter to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to rescue her. Alarmingly she wrote: “We are in front of a dangerous gang and everybody seems to be afraid of them, but I know you can find the right people to help me.”
