PONDA: A couple from Khandepar was robbed for property worth Rs 9 lakh including a car worth Rs 8 lakh.
According to PSI Paresh Sinhari, four unknown persons wearing masks entered into house of Babli Gaonkar (58) located near Betal temple on Opa road in Khandepar by breaking the window grills of the house.
After entering into house, the accused tied the couple with a rope. However, couple resisted the same and was injured in the scuffle.
Later, the accused snatched mangalsutra, chain, other gold ornaments from the couple, besides taking a cell phone and a laptop all valued at Rs 1 lakh.
Finally, the accused also fled with the couple’s SCross car (GA-05-D-4083) worth Rs 8 lakh.
