Perpetual Succor, Assumpta Convent, OL Rosary, St Aloysious advance

MARGAO: Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim hammered Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna 4-0 to cruise into the second round of Salcete Taluka under-14 inter-school football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Manora ground, Raia, on Tuesday. Perpetual School led 2-0 at half time.

Perpetual Convent High School dominated the game and pushed their opponents on the back-foot.

The high light of the day was a brilliant brace by Johan Fernandes. Jonathan Carvalho and Tauseef Arolkar being the other goal scorers.

Assumpta Convent High School, Sarzora thrashed Infant Jesus High School, Cuncolim 3-0 after leading 2-0 at the break.

Assumpta Convent High School held upper hand in the both the sessions. Nigel Fernandes struck a brace while Chadel Fernanxdes was the other scorer.

Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda crushed Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Utorda 4-0 after leading 3-0 at half time. St Aloysious High School, Benaulim prevailed over Our Lady of Succour High School, Nagoa 3-2 via the tie-breaker after the teams were tied 1-1 at full time.
