This is the time of the year when Majorda plays host to thousands of visitors to this South Goa beach. And yet, it has been observed that the water from the creek has become stagnant, and the stink emanating from it is unbearable to those visiting the beach and nearby shacks.
Very soon, it will be a breeding place for mosquitoes. This is in addition to the already lack of public toilets at the beach.
The irony is that the local MLA is the Environment Minister. Can the minister, along with the local panchayat authorities look into this matter at the earliest, please?
