PANJIM: Chief Secretary, Secretaries and IAS officers in the Goa government are now entitled to ‘home peon’ facility.
The State government on Tuesday issued memorandum allowing appointment of Muster Roll Peon at the residence of Chief Secretary, Secretaries in the super time scale, additional secretaries, special and joint secretaries, IAS officers at senior scale and Group A officers.

While Chief Secretary is entitled for appointment of three peons at his residence, Secretaries in the super time scale can appoint two while all other categories are allowed one muster roll peon.
As per the memorandum, each officer will have the right to select his/her own choice of peon.
