The letter complains of ‘national embarrassment’ caused by the warrant and seeks justice, sources said. It looks that the action has been sought against magistrate Roberts Bosco, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, who had issued the arbitrary order.
However, within few hours, the warrant was stayed by the district court following submission by the government, who held that execution of the order will be an embarrassment to the nation.
Last month, JMFC had issued warrant permitting the police to search for the absconding former Goa minister and MLA Mickky Pacheco at the 10 Akbar Road, New Delhi, the official residence of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. The order was issued after the petitioner claimed that the absconding minister was hiding at 10 Akbar Road, New Delhi.
