CURCHOREM: The 60th Goa Liberation Day was celebrated by the management and staff of Guardian Angel Educational Complex, Curchorem at its premises on Saturday. Due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, the staff of Guardian Angel Primary, High and Higher Secondary sections of the school organised and performed various cultural programmes including singing of patriotic songs without students.
Fr Anthony Silva unfurled the tri-colour in the presence principal Fr Walter Miranda, headmaster Fr Jerry Vaz and the teaching and non-teaching school staff.

Meanwhile, Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council also celebrated Liberation Day by unfurling the National flag by Administrator Ashutosh Apte in the presence of some former councillors and the municipal staff.
The annual various cultural competitions including march past for school children could not be organised due to the pandemic.
