In a recent development, the Vasco police have successfully apprehended two individuals from Karnataka and a local scrapyard dealer from Vasco. They are now facing charges related to the theft of valuable items from the PWD water department’s storage facility in Sada. The recovered items, with an estimated value of approximately Rs 12 lakhs, have been positively identified as belonging to the PWD Water Department.
This incident follows a previous case wherein unidentified individuals were involved in the theft of antique pieces. The Vasco police were conducting routine patrols when they observed three men displaying suspicious behaviour. Swift and thorough investigation efforts subsequently led to these individuals confessing to their involvement in the theft of various items from the PWD scrapyard.
