Luizinho assures total transparency in distribution of Congress tickets

PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Luizinho Faleiro said that there will be a complete transparency in the distribution of tickets for the upcoming State Assembly elections.

Addressing a Congress meeting in Sanguem, he said that Congress will field 50 per cent new faces for the upcoming polls and assured loans of Rs one lakh each for every Goan.
Faleiro accused the BJP of destroying mining in Goa and for causing unemployment. 
He further took a dig at the BJP for failing to fulfil the promise of unemployment allowance and also for failing to create 50,000 jobs. 
Former chief minister and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat accused the BJP of inaugurating projects sanctioned and started by the erstwhile Congress Government.
He further charged that the road in Amdai-Sanguem, which was built by erstwhile Congress Government has been used by BJP to establish a distillery by destroying coconut plantations. 
Taking pot-shots at South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, Quepem MLA Chandrakant Babu Kavalekar stated that Sawaikar’s statement that Congress’ presence is limited in Quepem stands defeated with the presence of large number of people at the Congress meeting at Sanguem. 
Girish Chodankar accused the BJP of fooling the people of Goa on the MoI issue.
