RAIA: Pax of Nagoa SC got the better of Calangute Association 2-0 to gain three points in the Goa Football Association’s Goa Professional League match played at the Nagoa panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Tufel Hingora missed a golden opportunity when he was well fed by Girish Naik of Calangute Association in the first half.
Both the goals for Pax of Nagoa were scored in the second session of the match. As the match progressed, Melvin D’Souza of Calangute Association shot over the crossbar after he received the ball from Pandurang Gauns.
Sherwin Abranches gave lead to Pax of Nagoa in the 47th minute, while later substitute Shubert Pereira doubled the lead four minutes before the final whistle.
