Trimming of trees needed in Vasco to illuminate roads

As part of underground cabling works in the port town of Vasco the street lights along the Swatantra Path which were on the road median have been shifted to the pavement.

The pavement is also lined with huge Ashoka trees. As a result of this, the street lights do not illuminate the roads properly.

In the photo the tree near Hotel La-Paz blocks the light as a result of which there is total darkness on the road.

It seems necessary for the authorities concerned to conduct an inspection and trim the trees wherever necessary so that the roads are properly illuminated.
