VASCO: After knowing the fact that the entire New Vaddem is facing acute water shortage, the PWD authorities have taken up the augmentation work of water supply in Housing Board Colony in Dabolim constituency.
People from ward no 22 are likely to get decent supply of water in near future.

In a press statement Councillor Sudesh Bhosle informed that the Minister for Transport and Panchayat Mauvin Godinho has proposed to strengthen water supply in entire New Vaddem, wherever people are facing acute shortage of water by tapping the water lines and even by replacing the old water pipelines.
“The work of tapping water lines and replacing old pipelines has begun in Housing Board Colony in New Vaddem. The commissioning of JICA pipelines would help to resolve the water woes permanently in New Vaddem and surrounding areas”, said Bhosle.
He also mentioned that he has requested the minister to look into the dilapidated condition of overhead water tank located at last stop in New Vaddem, as the concrete patches of the tanks are falling down, posing risks to the lives of the occupants and people residing in the houses in the surroundings of the tanks.
Bhosle also disclosed that a proposal of beautification of Vaddem Nagar Government High School ground with walking track and illumination has been discussed with Godinho which will be one of the recreation centre for the public.
