MAPUSA: Aldona MLA Glenn Ticlo inaugurated football ground, at Bastora, on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion MLA Ticlo said youth lacks in sports in rural areas due to lack of sports infrastructure, “The football ground which is expanded at the cost of Rs. 2.60 crores has given youths to showcase talents, which was neglected for many years,” he added.
Freedom fighters Jeraphine Pinto and Jaquim Pinto were honoured at the hands of MLA Ticlo.
Bastora Sarpanch Savio Martins, Uccasaim Sarpanch George D’souza, Bastora Deputy Sarpanch Manisha Naik, Panchas Ranjit Usgaonkar, Rajendra Naroji, Pratiksha Mayekar, Sunita Lotlikar, Rajesh Pilankar, and other dignitaries were present.
