CUNCOLIM: Panjim Footballers and ICSC Paroda battled out in a goalless draw in the GFA First Division League match played at Cuncolim ground, on Saturday.
The match was started half an hour late as refree Mario Vales had to wait for the other match officials till 4 p.m.
In the beginning, Mario Fernandes central striker of ICSC Paroda took control of the ball from U-20 player Merriston Coutinho and moved into the Panjim footballers territory and shot from close range but Prisco Moura of Panjim tackled his move in the 13th minute.
Panjim footballers striker Dalon Gama’s long ranger shot was collected by Presley Mascarenhas keeper of Paroda in the 15th minute.
Later in the 20th minute, Liston Fernandes of Paroda failed to connect the ball sent in by Hyginus Fernandes.
Crossing over both the teams tried to find the nets however were unsuccessful. Panjim Footballers Dary Costa had a brilliant chance at the goal however missed the sitter in the 50th minute.
ICSC Paroda had the final chance to take away three points in the dying minutes of the match but Cyril Dias shot wide.
