The Raj Bhavan in Goa honored His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the Catholics of the East Malankara Metropolitan, and 11 other Bishops at the old Durbar Hall on Thursday. Additionally, the Raj Bhavan also hosted a reception for Religious Heads from outside Goa on this occasion. During the event, a book titled “The Contemporary Speeches,” authored by Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, will be released by His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III.

His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III assumed the position of Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan, serving as the supreme spiritual leader of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India, on October 15, 2021. He holds the title of being the 92nd Primate to occupy the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas.
His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III serves as the highest authority within the Malankara Church. He holds the titles of Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan and also serves as the Metropolitan overseeing the Diocese of Kandanad West and the Diocese of Kottayam Central within the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
This gathering included H. H Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the esteemed Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan, as well as several high-ranking bishops: H. G Geevarghese Mar Coorilos of the Bombay Diocese, H. G Yuhanon Mar Policarpos overseeing the Angamali Diocese, H. G Dr. Yuhanon Mar Diascoros responsible for the Kottayam Diocese, H. G Dr. Yuhanon Mar Demetrios leading the Delhi Diocese, H. G Dr. Yuhanon Mar Thevodoros serving the Kottarakkara-Punalur Diocese, HG Yakob Mar Elias, the spiritual leader of the Brahmavar Diocese, H. G Dr. Joshua Mar Nicodhimos, who heads the Nilackal Diocese, and H. G Dr. Geevarghese Mar Yulios overseeing the Kunnamkulam Diocese.
