PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar has approached North Goa Superintendent of Police Utkrisht Prasoon demanding First Information Report against the defected legislators.
The letter to North SP comes after Panjim Police failed to act on his complaint filed last month.

“The undersigned has lodged complaint dated April 20, 2021, before the Panaji Police Station against the below mentioned persons who have conspired together and fraudulently created a false document claiming it to be resolution of the GPCC, which resolution purportedly was passed in the meeting of GPCC held on July 10, 2019 at Panaji Goa. The undersigned is constrained to file the present Application under Section 154(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, on account of failure of the Police Inspector, Panaji Police Station, to initiate appropriate action in accordance with law in respect of complaint,” Chodankar said.
The complaint has been filed against Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant Kavlekar, Ministers Filipe Rodrigues, Jennifer Monserrate, MLAs –Isidore Fernandes, Nilkanth Halarnkar, Atanasio Monserrate, Antonio Fernandes, Francisco Silveira, Wilfred D’Sa and Clafasio Dias; and Prasad Prakash Amonkar, Jeetendra Gaonkar and persons who have signed the alleged fraudulent document.
The complaint at Panjim Police Station demanding criminal charges was filed against the defected MLAs, a day after Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar dismissed petitions seeking disqualifications of 10 Congress ex-MLAs and 2 MGP former MLAs.
